ในปีพ.ศ. 2540 ฉันได้รับมอบหมายให้มาปฏิบัติงานที่ศูนย์กู้ชีพ “นเรนทร” ซึ่งถึงแม้ว่าฉันจะมีประสบการณ์ในเรื่อง ER ที่พี่ๆพยาบาลและอาจารย์แพทย์หลายท่านในสมัยนั้นได้อบรมสั่งสอนมาเป็นเวลา นานถึง 16 ปีแล้วก็ตาม (ต้องขอขอบคุณไว้ ณ ที่นี้ด้วย) แต่ก็ไม่ได้ช่วยให้ฉันรู้สึกเบาใจสักนิด เพราะในชีวิตการเป็นพยาบาล ฉันไม่เคยได้เล่าเรียนวิชาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับงาน EMS มาก่อนเลย ไม่รู้สักนิดว่า EMS คืออะไร ฉันต้องมาเริ่มเรียนรู้ทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างใหม่หมด ที่มีคนพูดว่า “มืด 8 ด้าน” แต่ฉันรู้สึกว่าตัวเองมืด 10 ด้านเลยแหละ งานที่ได้รับมอบหมาย มีบางสิ่งบางอย่างเท่านั้นที่คล้ายๆกับงาน ER ส่วนใหญ่ต้องมาเรียนรู้อีกมากมาย สมันนั้น ศูนย์กู้ชีพ “นเรนทร” ไม่ได้เป็นห้องหับที่เป็นสัดส่วนเช่นปัจจุบัน ไม่มีรั้วรอบขอบชิด ยุงบินเข้าได้ทุกห้อง เจ้าหน้าที่วิทยุทำงานไปตบยุงไป คนทำงานทุกคนซึ่งส่วนมากเป็นอาสาสมัคร ทั้งจากมูลนิธิร่วมกตัญญูและป่อเต็กตึ๊ง ล้วนต้องเป็นเพื่อนกันกับยุง ฉันได้มีโอกาสเข้าใจและเรียนรู้การทำงานกับอาสาสมัครก็จากตรงนี้ อาจารย์สมชายมีห้องทำงานอยู่ที่ชั้น2 ของศูนย์ และมักนอนอยู่ที่นี่ โดยไม่ค่อยได้ออกไปไหน ทั้งยังต้องคอยเป็น Commander ในการสั่งการออกรถตลอด 24 ชั่วโมง เพราะสมัยนั้นยังไม่มีศูนย์สั่งการเป็นศูนย์เดียวเหมือนทุกวันนี้ ระยะต่อมาอาจารย์ได้มอบหมายให้ฉันเป็น Commander ในช่วงที่อาจารย์ไม่อยู่ ทำให้ฉันได้เรียนรู้ถึงภาวะการตัดสินใจในการเป็น Commander ในระบบ EMSได้อย่างลึกซึ้งและถ่องแท้มากยิ่งขึ้น สมัยนั้นยังไม่มีใครรู้และเข้าใจที่จะให้ความสำคัญกับงาน EMS เท่าไรนัก หนังสือตำราก็ไม่มีให้ได้เรียนรู้ แพทย์เวชศาสตร์ฉุกเฉินก็ยังไม่มี โชคดีที่มีอาจารย์คอยสอนและชี้แนะเรื่องเหล่านี้ให้ ประกอบกับช่วงนั้นไทยต้องเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการแข่งขันกีฬาเอเชียนเกมส์และ เฟสปิคเกมส์ ซึ่งโรงพยาบาลราชวิถีต้องรับผิดชอบในจัดตั้งคลีนิคในหมู่บ้านนักกีฬา และศูนย์กู้ชีพ “นรนทร” ต้องรับชอบเรื่องAmbulance ทั้งในหมู่บ้านนักกีฬาและในสนามการแข่งขัน สถานการณ์บีบบังคับให้ฉันต้องทำการบ้านอย่างหนัก โดยมีสถานการณ์ต่างๆเหล่านั้นเป็นโจทย์ให้ต้องคิด ฉันรู้สึกว่า ตัวเองเหมือนเด็กอนุบาลแต่ต้องมาทำงานระดับชาติ แต่โชคดีที่โจทย์เหล่านี้ ได้ถูกอาจารย์สมชายตีโจทย์จนแตก และตอบโจทย์ได้อย่างครอบคลุม ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการวางแผนการเตรียมพร้อมด้านการแพทย์ การบริหารจัดการระบบAmbulance ให้เชื่อมโยงกับคลีนิคในหมู่บ้านนักกีฬาและสนามการแข่งขัน การประสานงานกับหน่วยงานต่างๆที่เกี่ยวข้อง การซ้อมแผนเพื่อสู่การปฏิบัติงานได้จริง ฉันยังจำได้ว่า ฉันพร้อมกับทีมงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง ต้องเดินทางไปกับอาจารย์หลายครั้งก่อนจะถึงวันจริง เพื่อดูสถานที่ วิเคราะห์ปัญหาอุปสรรค ที่หมู่บ้านนักกีฬา สนามหัวหมาก สนามเมืองทองธานี ทั้งในวันเวลาราชการและนอกวันเวลาราชการ ซึ่งเราต้องกลับถึงโรงพยาบาลในเวลาค่ำมืดบ่อยๆ เพื่อวางแผนต่างๆก่อนวันจริง อาจารย์สอนให้เห็นถึงความสำคัญของการสร้างเครือข่ายในการทำงานซึ่งก็คือ หัวใจสำคัญในงาน EMS อาจารย์ได้สร้างเครือข่ายร่วมกับโรงพยาบาลเลิดสิน นพรัตนราชธานี สภากาชาด และหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องอีกหลายแห่ง นับเป็นครั้งแรกที่ฉันได้รู้จักเพื่อนใหม่ๆอีกหลายๆคน ซึ่งเราทุกคนยังคงรักษามิตรภาพตั้งแต่ครั้งนั้นมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน จะมีอะไรที่มีค่ามากกว่าคำว่า “เพื่อน” เพราะมิตรภาพไม่มีโครงสร้าง ฉะนั้นเราจึงยังคงติดต่อช่วยเหลือเกื้อกูลกันอยู่เสมอ ไม่ว่าใครจะอยู่ในตำแหน่งหรืออยู่ในสถานภาพเช่นไร และอีกทั้งหลายทั้งปวงที่ฉันไม่อาจเรียบเรียงได้หมด ล้วนเป็นต้นทุนที่อาจารย์ได้มอบให้ทั้งทางตรงและทางอ้อม ทำให้ฉันสามารถทำงานที่ได้รับมอบหมายในพระราชพิธี การประชุม หรือเหตุการณ์สำคัญๆ ในประเทศไทย ได้อย่างไม่หนักใจเหมือนแต่ก่อน โดยทุกๆครั้งที่ได้ทำงานกับอาจารย์ ฉันรู้สึกว่าได้เรียนรู้สิ่งใหม่ๆที่เป็นประโยชน์อย่างไม่รู้จบสิ้น ถ้ามีปัญหาอุปสรรคใดๆ อาจารย์ก็มักจะมีคำตอบให้เสมอถึงแม้บางครั้งจะเถียงกันบ้าง แต่ก็ได้ข้อสรุปที่เป็นที่พอใจด้วยกันทุกฝ่าย อาจารย์เป็นคนมีหลักการและมีการวางแผนในการทำงานได้อย่างดีเยี่ยม ทำให้งานที่ออกมามีทิศทางและมีวัตถุประสงค์ที่ชัดเจน ซึ่งฉันได้นำมาเป็นแบบอย่างในการทำงานจนถึงปัจจุบัน อาจารย์มักคิดโครงการใหม่ๆออกมาอยู่เสมอๆ และด้วยความคิดที่โง่เขลา ทำให้ฉันรู้สึกเครียดในระยะแรกๆว่าทำไมมันมีมากมายก่ายกองเสียจริง จนเมื่อเวลาผ่านไป ฉันจึงเรียนรู้ได้ด้วยตัวเองว่า สิ่งเหล่านั้นล้วนเป็นประสบการณ์ และโอกาสในการทำงาน ที่อาจารย์หยิบยื่นให้โดยที่ฉันไม่รู้ตัว และเมื่อมันผ่านเข้ามาในชีวิตเราแล้ว ถ้าเราไม่ไขว่คว้ามัน มันก็คงจะผ่านไปแล้วไม่มีวันที่จะย้อนกลับมาอีกเลย จึงถือได้ว่า อาจารย์เป็นผู้ที่ให้โอกาสในเรื่องการทำงานกับฉันด้วย ทำให้ฉันได้ใช้โอกาสนั้นเรียนรู้ทั้งสิ่งผิด สิ่งถูก และสั่งสมประสบการณ์จนเป็นตัวเป็นตนในงาน EMS มาจนถึงปัจจุบัน ซึ่งต้องขอขอบพระคุณอาจารย์ที่เป็นครู EMS คนแรกของฉันอีกหลายๆครั้ง และขอขอบคุณผู้บริหารทางการพยาบาลทุกๆท่านที่สนับสนุนเวลาให้ฉันซึ่งเป็น พยาบาล ได้มีโอกาสทำงานร่วมกับอาจารย์สมชายนานถึง 14 ปี จนฉันได้เรียนรู้หลายสิ่งหลายอย่างดังที่ได้เล่ามาทั้งหมด Corporate Gifts | acne treatments
